We’re always giving for a big mission

Philanthropy, as a word, was first recorded in 1600-10, from Late Latin, from Greek philanthropia meaning ‘benevolence, humane feeling’. Now, we use it around the activity of donating to people or purposes in an altruistic way.

It’s not about ‘giving back’, it’s about being a participant in mission

Of course, as people that serve God, giving is in our DNA. We tithe in worship to God. We giving offerings that include finances, skills and time. It is not a give-to-get mentality. Instead, it is part of our function as a servant of God.

But the question always arises, what happens to the giving? People like to hold people to account and judge. At Bible Study Brainstorm view giving in a different light.

Our giving is to God. What happens beyond that we leave in God’s hands. We hold no one to account. Faith in God means that no matter what happens to what we have given, He has more than enough to supply needs and take care of tomorrow.

In that stead our philanthropy is only focused on where the biblical example of the gospel for today appears. We believe in the public preaching of the gospel. In the declaration of Jesus Christ in the face of opposition and unbelief. He calls people to himself and saves them for eternity.

The Book of Acts shows us exactly what this looks like, so that is how we determine whom we give to.

On that basis our philanthropy goes to the following ministries which you visit at the following link:
