What do people say or think about you? Do you wonder? As we keep reading from Genesis 36-50, a picture emerges of how God things about this.
As a Christian, what is your reputation? There is something about people who are God’s, the evidence of his Spirit is on them. It’s very different to people who are just religious.

By the time we are in Genesis 41, we see Joseph. A man whose life looks like it’s completely highjacked. Time was disappearing from him, wasted in slavery and imprisonment. But what was said about him?
His reputation started to grow, and everything he did prospered. Those over him trusted him and gave him more responsibility.
He was the go-to guy for interpreting dreams. That spiritual nature in him, that was subject to God, gave him wisdom.
To the degree that, he is called to advise the highest political office in Egypt.
What is your expectation as a Christian?
Do you expect to be called to the highest political office? To the CEO’s boardroom? To the hospital bed of the city’s Governor?
And then, because he was known as ‘discreet and wise’, he is given almost total authority in Egypt.
How does God work? How does He work in and through us?
‘..a man in where the Spirit of God is?’….that’s what Pharaoh said about him.
Think about Daniel and the other 3 Hebrew boys.
‘..in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm’ (Daniel 1:20)
And not just that,
Read the words where The Queen told the King, about Daniel, in Chapter 5:
…forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences and dissolving of doubts were found in Daniel…’ (v12)
So, how do you live? Do you walk with God, so that your reputation is 10 times better? Are you known for having the Spirit of God in you?
